My name is E. C. Hedberg, MA.  I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Sociology at the University of Chicago. My blog, a forum typically for shameless-father child-related bragging,  is below.

My primary research activities focus on two areas: Intergenerational Family Patterns in the United States & Social Capital Theory.  My research methods include many quantitative techniques from simple OLS regression to various mixed models.  I also research in the area of education and consult for other people and organizations (for example, I did this analysis). I am affiliated with many organizations and research projects, mainly with the National Opinion Research Center.  Also, I am a founder of Siege Perilous Films, which is concluding the film "revisions" (no, really!).
